NASHVILLE (AP) — A Tennessee man has been indicted on a three counts of bankruptcy fraud after prosecutors say he gave false testimony to a U.S. trustee.

A grand jury in Nashville charged 43-year-old Michael Ross Smith of Brentwood last week.

Grand jurors say Smith testified that he had been a temporary employee of a Nashville business and also testified that he was no longer employed by the business.

According to the indictment, Smith was employed by the business as the president of sales and earned an annual base salary of $150,000.

Grand jurors also charged Smith with fraudulently withholding documents related to his employment and financial affairs in violation of an order issued by a bankruptcy judge.
