Details

The second annual Music City Yoga Festival is Saturday, October 4, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at 429 Event Space at 429 Chestnut St, Nashville. Tickets are $40 for each session (morning and afternoon options).

The Yoga Festival celebrates the Nashville yoga community while supporting two non-profit organizations using yoga to make an impact both locally and globally. All proceeds go Small World Yoga and Africa Yoga Project. Information: musiccityyogafestival.com.

Festival attendees participate in hour-long yoga classes taught by some of Nashville’s expert yoga teachers, along with two teachers from Africa. Each session will be taught by teachers/owners from different Nashville yoga studios and will allow participants to experience many types of yoga, including Yin and Thai, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Power, Chill Flow, Awareness, Naam, Conscious Movement, Hot 26 and more. There also will be a yoga therapy lecture.

Live music will be performed by Chant Ram and DJ Aydamm. Food trucks and a local marketplace also will be featured.

The goal is to celebrate the local yoga community and to raise awareness and funds for Small World Yoga and Africa Yoga Project. Additional Information: www.smallworldyoga.org, www.africayogaproject.org.
