Live on the Green. This week: Johnnyswim, Delta Spirit, Cage the Elephant beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday. Since its inception in 2009, more than 200,000 fans from 29 states and 10 countries have attended the free outdoor music festival. It also has hosted more than 70 artists, including Alabama Shakes, Local Natives, Band of Horses, Matt & Kim, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matt Nathanson, The Wallflowers, Citizen Cope, Dr. John, The Wailers and more. SATURDAY, SEPT. 6

18th annual Chukkers for Charity

Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, a world-class polo player and the face of several Ralph Lauren and Polo brands will be a highlight of the event. Chukkers raises funds and awareness for the Rochelle Center and Saddle Up! Gates open at 1 p.m. for tailgaters and 2 p.m. for patrons and general admission. The opening ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. with the polo match beginning around 3 p.m. Following the polo match, the Patrons’ Dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m. Information: Riverview Farm, 1475 Moran Road, Franklin. Musicians Corner

Musicians Corner, Centennial Park’s free music series, will kick off its fall season with Robert Earl Keen, Emily West, Roots of a Rebellion. Noon-5 p.m. at the Centennial Park Bandshell. Upcoming dates include:

People’s Law School

Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands is hosting a free program that provides an overview of common civil legal issues that a person might face. Taught by Legal Aid Society attorneys and volunteer attorneys. 6 to 7 p.m., Wright Middle School, 180 McCall Street. Registration: 298-8050, nashville.gov/ce. This session:

Advance Care Planning: This course covers the basics of four must-have legal documents. A lawyer will explain the process of naming someone to make your health care decisions, living wills, powers of attorney and wills. This class ends at 7:30. Wright Middle School, 180 McCall Street.

Beers of the SEC Tasting Reception

Tim Corbin, coach of the NCAA champion Vanderbilt baseball team, will be the featured speaker. Watkins Film Projects Auditions

A general casting call for Fall 2014 student film projects on Saturday, September 13, at the Watkins campus in Metro Center. Directors of more than 20 productions, from the film programs at Watkins and, for the first time, Belmont University, will be looking for actors of all ages. Student films are being made under the SAG/AFTRA student film agreement, and all current union members are allowed to participate. 4th Annual Goodlettsville Arts & Antiques Festival

Located on Main Street in the heart of the city, the festival focuses on the antique shops and many artists who live in the area, but also features the arts in many forms including music, dance, jewelry, metal, pottery, quilts and artisan crafts. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Activities for children and local restaurants and food vendors add to the festivities.

Child Support Basics: This new course will focus on how to apply for child support, how the amount of child support is set and how to change the child support amount. Family law attorneys will answer questions on Families First and child support.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 9

Courtyard Concerts

Food truck fare and free lunchtime music featuring Annie Sellick and the Hot Club of Nashville. Gypsy swing band playing songs from the 30s and 40s. Downtown Library, 615 Church St. The 2014 Courtyard Concerts series, now in its 11th year, is funded by the Nashville Public Library Foundation and supported by media sponsor The Nashville Scene. Concerts will run every Tuesday, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., through Oct. 7. Performances are informal and unseated, so guests can bring lunch and drop in to hear music in the Robinson Courtyard, located on the Library’s second floor. Additional concerts include:

  • Sept. 16: Riders in the Sky

TSU Scholarship Gala

New Pro Football Hall of Fame member Claude Humphrey and long-time educators Drs. McDonald and Jamye Williams will be honored at this year’s gala, which will be held at Music City Center.
