Constangy, Brooks & Smith adds to Nashville office

National labor and employment law firm Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP has hired attorney Phylinda Ramsey as an associate in its Nashville office.
Ramsey represents employers in a wide range of employment matters including alleged race, sex, age and disability discrimination claims, as well as wrongful termination, state and federal claims. She also serves clients by responding to administrative complaints and investigations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ramsey was previously an associate at Jackson-based firm Pentecost and Glenn, PLLC. Originally from Monteagle, Ramsey is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Hollowell, McNaughton join Stites & Harbison
Stites & Harbison, PLLC has expanded its Intellectual Property & Technology Practice with the addition of two registered patent partners from Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP – Kelly Hollowell and Justin McNaughton.
With the additions of Hollowell and McNaughton, Stites & Harbison will boast one of the largest life sciences practices in Tennessee with 10 full-time attorneys.
Hollowell is a patent attorney and scientist who focuses her practice on life sciences and mechanical arts, guiding entrepreneurial, industrial, manufacturing and health care clients through the patent process.
McNaughton’s patent practice focuses on life sciences and mechanical arts. He works with established companies, entrepreneurs, and startups in the health care, hospitality, firearms, health and beauty, manufacturing, and renewable energy industries in developing an intellectual property portfolio appropriate for their industry. He also maintains an active software and technology licensing practice, focusing on technology transfer agreements, product research and development agreements and technology licenses.
Blevins gains seat on Suntrust’s advisory Board

Brad Blevins, president of Blevins, Inc., a wholesale supplier of building products, has joined the Nashville Advisory Board of SunTrust Bank.
Blevins, Inc. has 12 locations in the eastern half of the United States and is the largest aftermarket supplier to the manufactured housing industry.
In addition, Blevins is president of Home Pride Inc., a manufacturer of anchoring systems and other products for the manufactured housing industry. Prior to joining Blevins, Inc. in 1996, Blevins was a product manager with Baxter Healthcare and in banking with SunTrust Bank.
Blevins graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1988 with a BBA and graduated from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1994 with an MBA.
LBMC promotes Lawson to HR manager

Lauren Lawson, of the Human Resources division of Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC has been promoted to human resources manager.
Lawson has more than eight years of experience in human resources and recruiting. Prior to her role at LBMC, Lauren served as an agent with Randstad General Staffing. She graduated with a degree in communications from the University of Tennessee and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute.
Floyd joins Benchmark Realty

Joanne Hostettler Floyd, a Nashville native, will be working throughout the city and surrounding areas assisting listing agents, buyer agents and specializing in residential real estate for Benchmark Realty.
Floyd attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and O’More College of Design where she earned a bachelor’s degree.
Along with her work in real estate, Floyd also works at Belle Meade Plantation as a buyer and manager for their gift shop. She is currently preparing to earn her Brokers License.
Fridrich & Clark welcomes Dorsey

Terri Dorsey has joined the Green Hills office of Fridrich & Clark Realty.
Dorsey is new to the real estate industry and will specialize in both Davidson County and Williamson County.
Dorsey previously worked for WSMV-TV as a reporter and Clement & Associates in business and government relations.
