Tennessee Latin American Chamber to host World Cup viewing party
NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce is hosting a viewing party in Nashville on Thursday for the first match of the World Cup.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and will be held at the Guantanamera Restaurant, 3744 Nolensville Road. There will be live music and Latin American food.
Marcela Gomez is vice president of the chamber's board. She says it was important to find a location that's reminiscent of home, and the restaurant and the area it's in offer that.
The first World Cup match will be between tournament host Brazil and Croatia.
