Austin joins Regions as sr. VP, wealth advisor
Austin
Regions has hired Brian C. Austin to the position of senior vice president and wealth advisor for Nashville and Middle Tennessee. In this role, Austin will focus on total wealth management for high-net worth individuals and families, providing solutions for multidimensional personal and business finances.
A 31-year Nashville financial services veteran, Austin was previously a principal with Ayers Capital, LLC and was senior vice president, private banking at FirstBank. Austin also has served as senior vice president/ private client advisor at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and SunTrust Bank, and in a variety of positions with First American National Bank.
Austin earned his degree in Accounting and his MBA from The University of Kentucky. He currently serves on the boards of the Nashville Children’s Alliance, the American Red Cross Natchez Trace Chapter, the Eating Disorder Coalition of Tennessee and is a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville.
Wealth management advisor honored for volunteer work

Roy Jordan, wealth management advisor with Northwestern Mutual, has been named an “outstanding volunteer” in Northwestern Mutual’s national Community Service Award program.
The annual program, which is open to the more than 9,000 financial representatives of Northwestern Mutual, recognizes exemplary volunteer involvement and dedication to charitable organizations and philanthropic projects.
Jordan was selected for his volunteer service to the Green Hills Family YMCA and the YMCA Foundation of Middle Tennessee. In honor of his volunteer support, a $15,000 grant from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation will be presented to the YMCA for its Restore Ministries program, which offers in-depth counseling services to individuals and families in 15 Middle Tennessee communities.
For the past 10 years, Jordan has served as an active volunteer and board member at the Green Hills Family YMCA. In addition to providing a wide variety of services and programs at its local community center, the Green Hills Y provides support to all other Ys in Middle Tennessee. Jordan also has served on the board of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee Foundation for the past three years.
Crosslin adds 4 team members in Nashville
Crosslin & Associates has expanded its audit, business development and entrepreneurial business services teams. The firm’s audit department welcomed Angie Hoke, CPA, as an audit principal, and Connor Courtemanche, CGFM, as an audit manager. Mike Sparta has joined the firm as business development manager, and Elizabeth Koch as entrepreneurial business services staff.
Hoke brings more than 20 years of experience to the firm. She has served as both an assurance partner and assurance manager for a national accounting firm and vice president and chief accounting officer for Healthcare Realty Trust.
Courtemanche is a certified government financial manager with more than 22 years of experience. She recently served as a senior manager at Harvey, Covington & Thomas in Hollywood, Fla., and as a manager at Grau & Company, P.A., in Boca Raton, Fla. Courtemanche also served as controller at the Arizona Department of Revenue and began her career at the State of Arizona Office of the Auditor General.
Sparta has more than 30 years of experience in sales and consulting within the financial services industry, most recently serving as regional sales director for Bancsource. He spent 16 years in banking, working with privately held and middle market companies, before starting his own venture providing consulting and insurance services to individuals and small businesses.
Koch has worked as an accounting specialist for Gresham, Smith & Partners and in the Union City School System.
Kraft Enterprise Systems admits Batey to membership

Jennifer Batey has become a member in Kraft Enterprise Systems, LLC. Batey, a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, has more than 18 years of experience in the technology and finance industries.
After earning an accounting degree from Middle Tennessee State University, Batey gained more than 15 years of experience in various roles including accountant, controller and director of billing. She joined KES as a consultant in 2010.
Bone McAllester Norton hires technology lead

Deron Peak has joined the law firm of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC as the director of technology.
In this senior-level position, Peak will have overall responsibility for planning, managing and directing the technology and communications systems for Bone McAllester Norton, including the operation and maintenance of the computer network and all computers at the firm. He also will represent Bone McAllester Norton in the International Legal Technology Association.
Peak previously was with the Dean Mead firm in Orlando, Fla., where he was the director of information technology for nearly eight years.
Concept Technology hires accounting manager

Sarah Murphy has joined Concept Technology, a Nashville IT service provider, as an accounting manager.
Since 2009, she worked at Washington D.C.’s Chef Geoff’s restaurants as executive director of finance. Murphy also gained experience managing several restaurants, including Café du Parc and Indeblue in Washington D.C. and Vine Street Café in Shelter Island, N.Y.
