NASHVILLE (AP) — Movie buffs and fans of the independent cinema can watch this year's Academy Awards ceremony in style and support Nashville's historic Belcourt Theatre at the same time.

The Belcourt is selling tickets to A Red Carpet Evening, an Oscar party that raises money for the nonprofit theatre. The event features food, cocktails, a silent auction, a glamorous VIP backstage lounge and an actual red carpet for film fans who attend. Fans can watch the award ceremony on the big screen on Hollywood's biggest night and hear lots of movie buzz.

Tickets to a Red Carpet Evening range from $75 to $325 per person and are tax deductible. Belcourt members are eligible for discounted tickets to the event.

The Oscars and a Red Carpet Evening will be held on March 2.
