Jon Meacham guest at Lipscomb series

NASHVILLE (AP) — Historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham is being hosted by Lipscomb University Thursday for the school's conversational series Now that You Ask.

Meacham, a Chattanooga native, is author of the New York Times bestseller "Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power." He won the Pulitzer Prize for "American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House," and is a contributing editor to Time magazine. He graduated with honors from the University of the South and once worked at a reporter for the Chattanooga Times.

The conversation series Now that You Ask is hosted by Tom Ingram, a veteran Tennessee political operative and campaign adviser. The event, which is free and open to the public, is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Shamblin Theatre on the Lipscomb campus.
