Louis F. Caputo, chief executive officer (CEO) of Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, S.C., has been named chief executive officer of HCA’s TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

Caputo, who has more than 10 years of executive leadership in both administrative and operational areas within HCA, has served as CEO of Summerville Medical Center for the past five years.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Sewanee: The University of the South and an MBA from Belmont University. He also is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Bibb to lead Tennessee Board of Law Examiners

Julian L. Bibb has been elected president of the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners, serving a one-year term.

Bibb, a member of the law firm of Stites & Harbison, PLLC, has served on the Board of Law Examiners for the past three years. Prior to that, Bibb served as an assistant on the board for 22 years.

Bibb has practiced law for 36 years and serves as chair of the firm’s Banking and Real Estate Service Group.

The members of the Board of Law Examiners are appointed by the Tennessee Supreme Court. Other Board members include Scott McGinness (Chattanooga), Bill Harbison (Nashville), Rhynette Hurd (Memphis), and Jeffrey Ward (Greeneville).

Hannah named member at Frost Brown Todd

Frost Brown Todd promoted Sarah Clark Hannah to member in the firm’s Nashville office. She has been with the firm since 2006.

Hannah represents public and private companies, from start-up ventures to multi-national corporations, in a wide array of corporate and commercial transactions, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, and franchise and distribution.

Hannah was selected as an honoree for the 2012 Business Leader Women Extraordinaire and as a 2013 Super Lawyer Mid-South Rising Star Attorney for Mergers & Acquisitions. She also serves as president of the Crescendo Club and chair of Women Entrepreneurship for Advance Nashville at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. Hannah is a graduate of Belmont University and Vanderbilt Law School.

Dodson Parker adds shareholder, associate

The law firm of Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC, has named Tracy Dry Kane a shareholder in the firm. Additionally, the firm has added Elizabeth Sitgreaves as its newest associate.

Kane focuses her practice on business law, helping entrepreneurs, companies and non-profit entities develop, operate, and grow their organizations. She joined the firm in 2010 after having completed a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Richard Dinkins, judge on the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

She earned her J.D. degree from Vanderbilt Law School, where she was named a fellow of the Cal Turner Moral Leadership Program. She earned her B.A. degree in international relations from American University in Washington, D.C.

Sitgreaves will focus her practice on litigation, municipal law and general business advice. Sitgreaves was previously a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Frank G. Clement Jr. of the Tennessee Court of Appeals, serving four years as the judge’s senior clerk. Her legal experience also includes clerking for the Tennessee attorney general’s office and an internship with the Knox County district attorney.

Sitgreaves attended the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and served on the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy. Prior to law school, Sitgreaves was a presidential scholar at the University of Georgia, where she received her B.A. degree in political science magna cum laude and also served on the University Judiciary.

CABLE graduates Corporate Board Academy class

Nashville-based CABLE, a network of more than 600 professional women, has graduated 13 local business women from the inaugural Corporate Board Academy.

Teresa Broyles-Aplin, Anita Elliott, Kathy Jones, Carol McCoy, Mary Mirabelli, Rita Mitchell, Billye Sanders, Katy Sheesley, Teresa Sparks, Laura Smith Tidwell, Laura Reinbold, Denise Warren and Evette White successfully completed the program, which began in October 2013 and concluded in January 2014.

CABLE’s Corporate Board Academy is designed to help prepare board-ready women to obtain meaningful corporate board roles. A variety of topics were covered, with much of the content stemming from a donation of time from the Tennessee Chapter of Women Corporate Directors and Ernst & Young.

Pinnacle Financial adds to communications team

Mary Katherine Barranco and Leigh Marie Lunn have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners’ communications team.

Barranco brings seven years of experience to her role of communications strategist, wellness program manager. She comes most recently from Katcher Vaughn & Bailey Public Relations, where she served as an account executive.

She holds a degree in communications studies from the University of Tennessee.

Barranco is a past board member and community relations chair for the University of Tennessee Alumni Association in Davidson County and is a past member of the American Marketing Association’s Nashville Chapter, Public Relations Society of America and the Nashville Junior Chamber.

Lunn, with 18 years of experience, joins Pinnacle as a senior vice president and communications strategist. She spent 11 years at GS&F (formerly Gish, Sherwood & Friends), where she was senior vice president and director of public relations. Prior to GS&F Lunn was public relations and exhibit manager for EBSCO Industries, Inc. in Birmingham, Ala.

Former Lipscomb coach joins RecruitTalk

Scott Sanderson, who coached men’s basketball at Lipscomb University for 14 years, has joined RecruitTalk, a web tool that helps high school athletes get organized and educates them on how to be the best recruit possible.

In addition to Lipscomb, Sanderson has coached at the Universities of Virginia, New Orleans and Colorado. RecruitTalk is a Nashville-based company founded in 2012 to help student-athletes share their story, as well as a digital guidance system to help keep athletes on track to be eligible.

Baker Donelson attorney moves to Nashville office

Baker Donelson shareholder Christopher M. Caputo has relocated to the firm’s Nashville office.

Caputo, previously located in Baker Donelson’s Memphis office, practices construction law and litigation and leads the firm’s Tennessee construction practice. Along with transactional and litigation work, he consults clients relative to licensing issues, the formation of joint-ventures and other special purpose entities, and in connection with bid protests and other public bidding issues.

He is a graduate of Colgate University and the University of Miami School of Law.

Ascend Management names Cook its COO

Emily Cook has joined Ascend Management Innovations as chief operations officer.

Cook will be responsible for the daily operations at Ascend, overseeing the largest division within the company, as well as working alongside the ownership team, providing strategic direction, planning and execution.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the health care field and most recently served as senior vice president of value, performance and innovation, as well as president of patient safety organization, at Cogent HMG.

Vision of Hope Gala honors Judge Eisenstein

The inaugural NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Tennessee Vision of Hope Gala honored Judge Daniel B. Eisenstein with the Vision of Hope Award for his work as judge for the Davidson County Mental Health Court over the last 10 years, as well as his collaboration with NAMI Tennessee and his advocacy for people with mental illness.

Eisenstein presides over Division 2 of the Davidson County General Sessions Court.

NAMI Tennessee is a grassroots self-help organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with mental illness, their families and communities. Its mission is accomplished through mutual support, education and advocacy. NAMI Tennessee offers services across Tennessee through a network of more than 30 affiliates.

Dougher has joined Zeitlin & Co. as broker

Kimberly Dougher has joined the Green Hills office of Zeitlin & Co. Realtors as a new affiliate broker.

Originally from Chattanooga, she has worked in the real estate industry for 30 years and previously owned and managed title firms.

GS&F welcomes 10 new employees

GS&F has expanded its creative, public relations and account management teams with the addition of 10 employees.

New to the creative and interactive teams are Neely Tabor, senior art director, and Marty Penton, senior creative producer. Also joining the integrated creative team are digital content writer Becky Henson, transmedia producer and videographer Nick Waugh and designer Johnny Whitman.

The agency has also expanded its earned media and public relations team with the addition of Brandon Puttbrese as an account executive.

The GS&F account management team continues to grow with the addition of David Camma as account director, Heath Overton as account supervisor and Abbey Booth and Taylor Prince as account executives.

Anderson Benson adds Hord as account manager

Shannon Hord has joined Anderson Benson Insurance as a commercial account manager.

In her new role, Hord will specialize in property and casualty and commercial insurance. She previously was an account coordinator at Neace Lukens and served as a commercial account manager at Brown & Brown of Tennessee, Inc. for nearly 14 years.

A native Tennessean, Hord earned an associate’s degree in business administration and management from Nashville State Community College in 2001.
