Titans asking fans to donate food against Colts

Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are asking fans coming to the Colts' game on Thursday night to bring non-perishable food with them to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Volunteers will be collecting donations starting at 5 p.m. CST until 15 minutes after kickoff.

Second Harvest is asking for canned tuna or chicken, peanut butter, canned vegetables and fruit, pasta, cereal and canned soups and stews. Jaynee Day, president of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee says food donations are critical with more families relying on them and their partners for emergency help.

Donations also can be dropped off at area Kroger stores, and Second Harvest is holding a virtual food drive online through Thursday.
