NASHVILLE (AP) — A memorial service has been set in Houston for Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams, who died Monday at 90.
The Titans said in a news release the service will be at 2 p.m. EDT Monday at Second Baptist Church with visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. EDT Sunday at George H. Lewis and Sons in Houston.
The team said in announcing Adams' death that he "passed away peacefully from natural causes."
Adams, a wealthy oilman, founded the Houston Oilers and moved the team to Tennessee in 1997. The franchise was renamed the Titans.
Adams is also credited with helping found the American Football League.
