Cancer lab to expand operations in Franklin
FRANKLIN (AP) - A cancer-testing laboratory is set to be built in Franklin - a $2.7 million investment by Nashville-based health care company DiaTech Oncology.
The Tennessean reported (http://tnne.ws/19MbaM5) that the facility, which will be built over the next two years, will add 39 jobs to the company.
The lab will use DiaTech's patented process for judging how well various chemotherapies are working to kill cancer cells in the patients.
The new jobs will be mainly for medical technologists with extensive, specific experience in the field.
