Titans collecting baby items for charity
NASHVILLE (AP) - The Tennessee Titans are collecting baby items for charity. The annual baby shower drive takes place at LP Field beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday before the Titans take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fans are asked to bring diapers, wipes, bottles and sippy cups, blankets, formula and clothing. Also needed are infant Tylenol or Motrin, infant thermometers, infant electrolyte solution, saline nose drops and nasal aspirators.
The items will benefit the Nurses for Newborns Foundation of Tennessee, which was founded by former Titan Fred Miller and his wife, Kim.
According to a news release, the program has provided home visits from registered nurses to more than 7,000 at-risk Tennessee families. It aims to reduce infant mortality and child abuse or neglect by providing health care assessments, parenting education and support.
