Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are asking fans coming to the Jets' game to bring any extra sports equipment with them Sunday. Not to play but to donate.

The Titans have teamed up with the Sports Fund through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to collect new and gently used sports equipment Sunday. Volunteers will be at LP Field collecting items that will be given to local nonprofits working with at-risk youth in Middle Tennessee.

The Sports Fund also will be conducting equipment drives with Vanderbilt football on Oct. 19 and later the NHL's Nashville Predators.

Gear will be collected starting at 12:45 p.m. CDT up to 3:30 p.m. before the 4:05 p.m. kickoff.
