NASHVILLE (AP) — The National Right to Work Foundation says it is representing eight workers at the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, who allege they were misled and coerced by the United Auto Workers union.

The groups said in a release Wednesday that it has filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board's regional office in Atlanta.

The UAW has said it has gathered signatures from a majority of workers at Volkswagen's lone U.S. plant.

The complaint says that the UAW led workers to believe that signing the cards would lead to a secret ballot among all workers about union representation, though leaders have since said they want the German automaker to recognize it without a formal vote.

A UAW spokeswoman did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
