TSU to host Kurdish Arts Festival this weekend
NASHVILLE (AP) - Tennessee State University and the Kurdish Cultural Institute are sponsoring the second annual Kurdish Arts Festival this weekend.
The event of traditional Kurdish music, dance, art and food will take place at the Performing Arts Center and Kean Hall on TSU's campus from Friday through Sunday.
Kurdish artists and creative talents from the U.S. and countries around the world are scheduled to perform and present the rich history of the Kurdish heritage.
Proceeds from the festival will go toward a scholarship foundation to help Kurdish students pursue degrees in arts and music at TSU.
