2 Tennessee Navigator groups to get nearly $2M
NASHVILLE (AP) - The Tennessee Primary Care Association and Structured Employment Economic Development Corporation are two organizations that will be helping Tennessee residents understand their new insurance opportunities and get signed up.
The entities are among 105 groups being given $67 million in Navigator grant awards by President Barack Obama's administration.
The groups are in states where the federal government will run online insurance marketplaces.
The Tennessee Primary Care Association will receive a little more than $781,000 and SEEDCO is getting a little more than $1.2 million. SEEDCO will support the activities of Navigators in Georgia, as well as Tennessee, many of whom will be roving.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says consumers are "hungry for information."
