Black Film Festival kicks off summer film series

NASHVILLE (AP) — The International Black Film Festival of Nashville is bringing back its summer film series.

It will start this month at 5 p.m. each Saturday at the Bill and Carole Troutt Theater on the campus of Belmont University.

This year's film series will include critically acclaimed independent and studio features, documentaries and short films.

There will also be a Q&A session for select films with directors, producers and/or cast members, as well as exclusive sneak peeks of films that will be screened at this year's festival in October.
