Chattanooga mall operator installing electric chargers
CHATTANOOGA (AP) — A Chattanooga-based shopping mall operator is having Tesla electric chargers installed at five of its properties.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press (http://bit.ly/11IH6we) reported CBL & Associates Properties Inc. announced Monday it would equip malls with the stations that will recharge Tesla electric cars.
The malls are Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers, Fla.; The Pavilion at Port Orange in Port Orange, Fla.; Alamance Crossing in Burlington, N.C.; CherryVale Mall in Rockford, Ill.; and Imperial Valley in El Centro, Calif.
Jim Ward, vice president of Brand development for CBL, said the company is pleased to be one of the first national mall developers to join Tesla in a long-term partnership.
Tesla has said it is developing a network of chargers so owners of its vehicles can drive coast to coast.
