Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) — Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is calling all hikers.

He wants them to meet him on Wednesday at the Thai Phooket restaurant at 6:30 p.m. then walk 5.2 miles in and around downtown Nashville. The walk will conclude at the restaurant, located at 207 Woodland Street.

The walk is part of a series of walks hosted by Dean to attract residents to the city's parks and greenways, as well as places of interest and other public spaces.

They also continue his focus on healthy, active living, which has included citywide events like Mayor's Field Day and the Mayor's Challenge 5K Walk/Run, set for Nov. 17.
