NASHVILLE (AP) — Mayor Karl Dean will join Mayor Col Murray of Tamworth, Australia, on Friday to sign a treaty that joins Nashville and Tamworth as sister cities.

The signing ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Tamworth is known as the "Country Music Capital of Australia" and annually hosts the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.

Tamworth will become the seventh sister city to Nashville.
