Jeffrey Guy, M.D., M.S.c., M.M.H.C, F.A.C.S., has been named chief medical officer of TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Guy joined TriStar Centennial as the chief medical officer of TriStar Centennial Women’s & Children’s hospital in September 2012 and has been serving as interim chief medical officer of TriStar Centennial since November 2012.

Guy’s areas of expertise include program development, process improvement activities, burn surgery, trauma surgery, and surgical critical care services. He is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.

Prior to joining TriStar Centennial, Guy was the director of the regional burn center and acute operative services at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He also served as an associate professor of surgery, chief of the division of burn surgery, fellowship director of burn surgery, and course director of the critical illness immersion course at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Commercial real estate firm, Sperry Van Ness|Investec Realty of Nashville (SVN) welcomes Stan Snipes to its team as senior advisor, directors announced.

Snipes joins SVN after leading XMi Commercial Real Estate as president and principal broker for seven years.

With more than 16 years of commercial real estate experience in the Nashville market, Snipes brings landlord representation and investment sales expertise to the SVN team.

Several of his notable projects include the redevelopment of the 100-year-old Duck Head manufacturing building into the Midtown Millworks building which is currently home to the Oasis Center. Stan also headed the renovation and re-leasing of 1919 Charlotte, which entailed transitioning a single-user occupant space into a medical building.

Julian Flournoy has been promoted to Financial Center Manager for the Metro Center Banking Center. Flournoy previously served as Financial Center Manager for the Hickory Village Banking Center, located at 5820 Nolensville Road. He has been with the company since August 2008.

Travis Dumke has been promoted to Financial Center Manager for the Hickory Village Banking Center. Dumke has been with Fifth Third Bank since February 2010, serving as a Personal Banker at the Nippers Corner Banking Center in South Nashville.

Katie Burt has been promoted to Client Advisor Supervisor for the Commercial division effective June 1, 2013. Burt has been with the bank four years, serving at a Treasury Management Specialist.

Lindsay Nickell has joined entrepreneurial coaching firm Petra Coach as executive assistant, company executives announced.

Nickell will help Petra’s CEO Andy Bailey with company planning, communicating and goal setting. She will assist in preparing materials for client-planning meetings, completing administrative tasks, maintaining social media accounts, upholding client relationships and promoting Petra’s online business management software, aligntoday.com.

Prior to joining Petra, Nickell taught first grade at Oak View Elementary in Franklin for four years. A Williamson County native, Nickell earned her bachelor’s in elementary education from Middle Tennessee State University.

First Freedom Bank names

Shannon O’Leary has been named Customer Service Manager at First Freedom Bank, announced John Lancaster, President and CEO of First Freedom Bank.

As Customer Service Manager, O’Leary will oversee all customer service activities for the bank’s Providence office. She was previously a Customer Service Representative.

O’Leary joined First Freedom Bank two years ago as a Customer Service Representative in its Lebanon office. Prior to joining First Freedom, she worked for Independent Bank in Memphis.

Financial services professionals David Hatcher and Lorrie Pruett have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners’ team in Dickson County.

Hatcher brings 20 years of experience to his role of financial advisor and area manager for Dickson, Ashland City and Bellevue. He comes most recently from TriStar Bank, where he served as a senior lender and chief retail officer. Prior roles include serving as city president for First Bank in Dickson and as a group sales manager for AmSouth Bank.

Pruett joins Pinnacle as the office leader for its Dickson office. She has 34 years of financial services experience and also comes from TriStar Bank, where she served as a senior consumer lender and office manager. Previously she was a branch manager for FirstBank and assistant vice president at First Federal Bank.

Also, announced, Nancy Goodloe has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a sales assistant for Pinnacle Asset Management.

Pinnacle Asset Management is the firm’s unit that provides fee-based investment management.

Goodloe brings a 25-year career from Raymond James Financial Services, where she most recently served as a sales assistant.

DVL hires director

DVL Public Relations & Advertising recently announced the addition of Alberto Toro as director of IT services.

Prior to joining DVL, Toro served as network administrator for Virtual Clinical Solutions, Inc. in Nashville, and network specialist for Freeman Health System in Joplin, Mo.

Toro is a graduate of Vatterott College, where he majored in computer and networking technologies. At DVL, Toro will be responsible for developing and coordinating the agency’s IT programs and procedures.

Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Inc. announced that Cendy Dodd, CPA, has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer.

Dodd will serve on Barge Waggoner’s Senior Leadership Team and play a critical role in leading the firm’s financial function. Day-to-day responsibilities include financial systems and planning, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and payroll.

Dodd brings 27 years of professional experience in finance, with her last six years serving as the Finance Director with the City of Franklin, Ky. Previously, Dodd worked for North American Automotive Cable Division as a Division Controller.

Dodd is a registered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Tennessee and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Kentucky University. In addition to her CPA, she completed courses at Belmont University to receive a Certificate of Management. Matthew Frankel received the annual Edgar Powers, Jr. Memorial Award.
