Christian Scholars Conference
John Dean, former White House counsel for President Richard Nixon and key witness for the prosecution before the Senate Watergate Committee and the Watergate trials, will be one of three keynote speakers at the 33rd annual Thomas H. Olbricht Christian Scholars’ Conference (CSC), to be held June 6-8.
Dean will speak on “The Ethical Legacy of Watergate” at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, June 8, in Collins Alumni Auditorium. A book-signing will follow at 12:15 p.m.

Beer crafter’s book signing

Bellevue Clean-Up Day (re-scheduled)
The spring edition of Bellevue’s Clean-Up Day is set for 8 a.m.-noon at Gower Elementary School (650 Old Hickory Blvd., just north of I-40 near Charlotte Pike). Bellevue residency must be confirmed through documents to participate. Workers and roll-off bins from Metro Public Works will be on hand to assist with large-item donations.

Cumberland Catfish Cook-Off
The Ashland City mayor hosts the Catfish Cook-Off on the last day of Summerfest at 5 p.m. with judging at 7 p.m. There is a $500 grand prize. Cost is $20 per team. Contact Sandy Cannon in the Mayor’s office 792-4211 ext 228 to reserve your spot.
