Sony/ATV moving administrative offices downtown
NASHVILLE (AP) — Music publisher Sony/ATV is moving its administrative offices from Nashville's famed Music Row to new offices downtown.
Company and state officials announced the move Tuesday, saying Sony will expand its global administration offices, adding 50-60 new jobs. The publisher will move into space in the Fifth Third Center. The publisher will occupy three full floors of the bank building and is set to move by the end of the year.
Sony pointed out its longtime presence on Music Row will not be affected, with its creative offices remaining there.
Sony/ATV owns or administers more than 2 million copyrights. Among songs in its catalog are "Jailhouse Rock," ''All You Need Is Love" and "Over the Rainbow."
