Corporate

Mark Folk joins Waller as a partner with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Waller, Folk was partner and co-chair of the health care department for Partner Shutts & Bowen, LLP, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

G. Tyson Bickley joins as an associate. Bickely earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Alabama.

Brent Moreland joins as an associate practicing in corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and securities. Moreland earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law where he worked as the publications editor of Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.

Trevor Sava joined as an associate in 2012 and has practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategic business transactions and governance issues. Previously, Sava was an associate at McDonald Hopkins, LLC, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lin Ye joins Waller as an associate, advising health care clients in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Prior to joining Waller, Ye was an associate at Butler Snow/Miller & Martin, LLC, in Nashville.

Finance & Restructuring

Blake Roth joins as an associate, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation and distressed debt for a variety of financial institutions. Previously, Roth was an associate at Duane Morris, LLP, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Dustin Timblin joins as an associate, assisting clients primarily in the health care industry in financing and bankruptcy matters. Prior to joining Waller, Timblin was an associate at Allen & Overy, LLP, in New York, N.Y.

Health Care

Cory Brown joins as an associate, assisting health care clients in regulatory compliance, including Federal and State physician self-referral laws, Stark and anti-kickback laws and HIPAA. Prior to joining Waller, Brown was an associate at Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC, in Memphis.

Caitlyn W. Davie joins Waller as an associate, assisting health care clients with Medicare and Medicaid participation requirements, facility licensure requirements and federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws. Davie earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Mike Dreyfuss joins as an associate and a member of the health care regulatory team. Previously, Dreyfuss worked as an EMT and a member of the U.S. Peace Corps. in Ghana, West Africa, where he become a tribal sub-chief. Dreyfuss earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Kevin Page joins as an associate, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement, HIPAA privacy and security issues, and Stark and anti-kickback compliance. Previously, Page was an associate at Wagner, Myers & Sanger, PC, in Knoxville.

Real Estate

David P. Wright joins Waller as an Of Counsel. Previously, Wright was an associate at Wagner, Myers & Sanger, PC, in Knoxville.

Lida Greist joins as an associate in the real estate practice group. Prior to joining Waller, Greist was an associate at Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop, PC, in Knoxville.

Erin Hughes joins Waller as an associate, focusing on assisting health care companies in leasing and transactional matters. Prior to joining Waller, Hughes was an associate at Farris, Bobango, Branan, PLC, in Memphis.

Trial & Appellate

Alexandra Lee joins Waller as an associate, representing clients at both the trial and appellate levels of state and federal courts in general litigation, labor and employment, government investigations and white collar matters. Prior to joining Waller, Lee represented clients in appeals to the Supreme Court of the United States and arbitrations, and managed lobbying efforts.

Todd Hambidge joins as an associate in the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. While working as a senior associate at Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP, in New York, N.Y., Hambidge was recognized by SuperLawyers as one of New York Metro’s Rising Stars in 2011 and 2012.

Iroquois Capital Group expands professional team

Iroquois Capital Group, a Nashville-based merchant banking and investment banking firm that focuses the health care and financial services industries, has expanded its management team with the addition of three experienced professionals.

• Charles Agee, managing director, is responsible for investment strategy and risk management of Iroquois’ initiatives in the non-regulated lending and specialty legal finance fields.

• Will Jackson, managing director, is responsible for business development for Iroquois’ investment banking group, non-regulated lending and specialty legal finance initiatives.

• Gretchen Lowe, vice president, is responsible for all finance, accounting and administrative matters for Iroquois’ non-regulated lending and specialty legal finance initiatives.

Prior to joining Iroquois, Agee ran a specialty legal finance company, Augusta Capital, which he co-founded during his senior year in college. Agee is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rhodes College where he received a B.A. in economics.

Jackson was a founding partner of Avondale Partners and served as managing director of institutional trading. He began his career with Bankers Trust Company in its Global Investment Management Group on the International Equity team in 1994. Jackson is a graduate of Rhodes College. He holds his Series 7, Series 24, Series 55 and Series 63.

Lowe previously served as controller for Augusta Capital, a specialty legal finance company. Prior to Augusta Capital, Lowe was a member of the tax consulting and tax compliance groups with Ernst & Young. Ms. Lowe is a graduate of Belmont University and received a Masters in Accountancy from Belmont University.

Corizon announces new senior vice president

Corizon, a provider of correctional health care solutions, has promoted Brian Holman to senior vice president of information technology.

In his new role, Holman will oversee the technology management of customer service, business applications, clinical systems, security and data center operations, focusing on strategies to effectively enable employee collaboration, client solutions and patient outcomes.

Holman joined Corizon in 2008 as senior director of business process solutions and was promoted to vice president of IT in 2009. He will continue to report to Campbell in his new role.

Child advocacy group adds to board of directors

Tennessee Voices for Children, a group advocating for the emotional and behavioral well-being of children and their families, has added four new members to its board of directors: Edith Kidd, Suzanne Lane, Thomas Beck and Wanda Russell.

Kidd serves at First Missionary Baptist Church Community Outreach in Clarksville as director and family advocate at the Emmanuel Life Center.

Beck currently serves as the vice president of labor relations for HCA.

Lane serves as a parent leader and advocate for children and families with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Russell is an experienced family advocate with more than 160 hours of training.

Atiba Networks selects Anders as president

Atiba Network Services, LLC has announced the appointment of Ricardo Anders as president and Craig Anderson as chief architect.

Prior to joining Atiba Network Services, Anders founded Level 60 Consulting, opening offices in Nashville and Geneva, Switzerland, and forming longstanding relationships with clients including Expedia.com, HFD Spa, Vanderbilt University, SESAC and Hotel Effectiveness. Formerly, Anders was VP of Technology at Smith Analytics and Chief Operating Officer of RealTime Hotel Reports, LLC in Ithaca, NY. He is a frequent industry speaker on both technology and lodging innovations and a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants.

Anderson has 12 years of experience in all phases of software development life-cycle, from design and documentation to implementation.

Anderson joins the Atiba team from the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, where as VP of Information Technology he planned, directed and managed all IT department personnel, systems and budget.

He has also been a software developer for New Century Technology, a machinist for Turner Machine Company and a submarine nuclear propulsion plant operator for the U.S. Navy.

Marketing coordinator joins Barge, Waggoner

Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Inc. has hired Hunter Moss as Marketing Coordinator.

Moss will work directly with the chief marketing officer and key stakeholders to lead the firm’s efforts in corporate communications and other various brand development initiatives. Prior to joining Barge Waggoner, Moss was employed at DVL Public Relations & Advertising in Nashville and held internships at local marketing firms as well as the Office of Communication and Marketing at Lipscomb University.

Moss graduated from Lipscomb University with a bachelor of arts in organizational communication.

Baker Donelson elects Bodzy as shareholder

Baker Donelson has elected 12 new shareholders across the firm, including Ben Bodzy of the Nashville office.

Bodzy represents management in labor and employment litigation. His practice has two primary focuses: representation of management in traditional labor matters and litigation relating to the enforcement of post-employment restrictive covenants.

Bodzy is a 2004 graduate of the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and is a member of the National Federation of Independent Business Labor Advisory Council.

Mobile app firm adds trio to staff

Metova has hired Logan Gauthier and Riley Mills as developers and Chad Sawyer as a designer.

Gauthier, an Auburn graduate, recently developed an iPhone metronome application called “ProTap.”

Mills joins Metova from Modifly LLC.

Sawyer is a graduate of the Watkins College of Art & Design and has been a contract graphic designer since 2005.
