Lipscomb ranked in top 25 for veterans

Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) - Lipscomb University's college of business is being ranked among the top 25 in the country for veterans returning from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Military Times newspaper, which annually ranks schools based on their efforts to accommodate veterans and active-duty military, ranked Lipscomb 24th out of 62 graduate business programs in the country.

The business schools were ranked based on their academic policies, financial aid offerings, career support, average graduate admissions test scores and other criteria, including participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

In addition to its variety of programs for veterans, Lipscomb matches federal funds vets receive under the new GI Bill so they can earn an MBA tuition-free. The university also enables qualifying vets to earn undergraduate degrees without paying tuition.
