No Easter egg roll at executive residence
NASHVILLE (AP) - Winter's grip is beginning to slip, but not in time to save the annual Easter egg roll at the governor's residence.
A spokeswoman for first lady Crissy Haslam said Wednesday the event, scheduled for Thursday, had been canceled.
Amanda Kerns said the children who would attend are between 3-5 years old and the Haslams were concerned it would be too cold during the morning hours for children to be outside for an extended time.
The National Weather Service calls for the low temperature early Thursday in Nashville to be near freezing.
