NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Attorney General's office says Friday is the last day for Tennesseans to file a claim form to receive a payment under the national mortgage settlement.

Approximately 37,000 borrowers in Tennessee who lost their homes between Jan. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2011, may be eligible to receive a payment. The nation's five largest mortgage servicers — Ally/GMAC, Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo, agreed to the settlement with the federal government and 49 state attorneys general last year.

Attorney General Bob Cooper said in a news release that thousands of eligible Tennesseans haven't stepped forward to file a claim.

Forms can be filed online at www.nationalmortgagesettlement.com . The settlement administrator can be reached at (866) 430-8358.
