NASHVILLE (AP) — Educators in science, technology, engineering and math are invited to attend a focus group on science standards.

The group's feedback will help refine a final draft of the Next Generation Science Standards. That's part of a state-led effort to create national standards for science education for kindergarten through 12th grade.

The focus group takes place Tuesday at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville. More information is available on the science center's website at www.adventuresci.com.

Anyone interested in the standards is encouraged to review the draft and offer feedback. The draft is at www.nextgenscience.org.

The new standards should be completed in March.
