TWRA announces winter trout stocking locations
NASHVILLE (AP) - The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has begun releasing more than 90,000 rainbow trout in Middle and West Tennessee waterways.
The stocking takes place from December through March and provides numerous close-to-home trout fishing opportunities for Tennessee anglers.
The fisheries also provide a great opportunity to introduce children or first-time anglers to fishing.
According to the Wildlife Resources Agency, the trout will average about 10 inches in length. The daily creel limit is seven, but there is no size limit.
The list of locations that will receive stockings during this year's program is available at http://www.tnwildlife.org under the "For Anglers" section.
