BRENTWOOD (AP) — The owner of a Kia car dealership in Nashville has turned himself in to police on charges of assault and being a felon in possession of a weapon.

WKRN-TV reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/Z8Bons) that Jerry "Chris" Bostick, owner of Carnival Kia Automotive Group, turned himself in to Brentwood police on Monday.

According a police affidavit, Bostick was accused of slamming a door in his wife's face causing a "visible knot" on her face and red mark on her arm during an argument at their home Sunday.

He is also accused of knocking a phone from her hand when she tried to call police.

He has a felony arrest in Florida in 1989 for carrying a concealed weapon. Bostick has often appeared with his family in television advertisements for the car dealership.
