Titans' Locker launches financial football game
NASHVILLE (AP) - Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker and the Tennessee treasurer will be teaching Nashville high school kids a new educational video game and curriculum called Financial Football.
Locker and Treasurer David H. Lillard Jr. will be at Overton High School on Tuesday morning to coach students in a new nationwide initiative between Visa Inc. and the NFL and NFL Players.
Financial Football incorporates lessons taught through Practical Money Skills for Life, a free money management program. The game is accompanied by a classroom curriculum and is being distributed by the state treasurer's office to every public middle and high school in the state of Tennessee.
