Ramsey appoints 2 to Technology Development Corp.

NASHVILLE (AP) — Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey has appointed Brian Noland, president of East Tennessee State University, and Greg Nelson, senior vice president and chief technology officer of Eastman Chemical Co., to the board of directors of the Tennessee Technology Development Corp.

The Tennessee Technology Development Corp. is a nonprofit organization created by the state Legislature to attract new science and technology businesses to Tennessee and expand those already here.

The corporation works with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and is funded under an agreement with the state.
