NASHVILLE (AP) - A Nashville judge has delayed a public intoxication and vandalism case against two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White.

The 26-year-old snowboarder was accused of pulling the fire alarm and destroying a phone at a Nashville hotel. A judge delayed the case Wednesday until Nov. 20.

Officers responded to the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel at 2 a.m. on Sept. 16 after a drunken man identified as White pulled a fire alarm, forcing the hotel to evacuate guests.

White tried to leave the hotel in a cab before being stopped by a guest who told the driver police had been called. According to police, White kicked at the man before running away. The man chased him and they collided when White turned around.

Baptist Hospital said White was treated there before he was arrested and booked by police. A police photo of White showed him with a black eye.

White later posted an apology on his Facebook page, saying he was sorry for what he called his "poor behavior."

White won a gold medal in Turin at the 2006 Olympics and in 2010 at the Vancouver Games, and he is an action sports superstar, whether skateboarding during the summer or snowboarding in the winter. He's also a multimillionaire with a clothing line and video game.

White expanded his brand last year by selling skateboards, BMX bikes and other equipment.
