UT Extension offers webinars for beef producers

SPRING HILL (AP) - Tennessee beef producers interested in marketing directly to consumers are invited to join UT Extension for a series of webinars.

The free, online workshops will be held the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from October through March.

Webinar topics will include regulatory requirements, labeling requirements and understanding the market for local beef.

Megan Bruch is a marketing specialist with the UT Extension Center for Profitable Agriculture.

She said in a statement that the series is designed to help producers understand the risks associated with directly marketing beef to consumers and gain the skills to manage those obstacles.
