MURFREESBORO (AP) — The Rutherford County Republican Party is opening a second county office in Smyrna this week in preparation for the general election campaign.

The Daily News Journal (http://on.dnj.com/UfvGMd ) reports the grand opening will be held Tuesday evening at 121 Front St. in Smyrna and will be followed by the monthly meeting of the Rutherford County Republican Party Executive Committee.

Rutherford GOP Chairman Austin Maxwell said they want to make it convenient for voters in Smyrna and La Vergne to pick up yard signs and bumper stickers for the national and local races.

The second office will remain open for the duration of the election season.
