A multi-tenant strip center will replace the Calhoun’s restaurant at 96 White Bridge Road, which closed in July.
“We plan to raze the building and develop a small strip shopping center,” says Mike McGuffin, managing director of the retail division of Eakin Partners, a commercial real estate firm.
The company is finalizing leases with tenants and will make an announcement soon, he says.
Metro Codes is reviewing the company’s application for construction.
The Chef Yang Chinese buffet restaurant, located behind Calhoun’s, closed at about the same time as Calhoun’s. That building is being renovated and will house the Sushi Train restaurant.
Retailers at Lions head Village include Picture Frame Warehouse, Sport Seasons, Sally Beauty Supply, Great Clips salon and Curves health club. A Target store is next door.
