Print | Front Page | Email this story

DETROIT (AP) — The United Auto Workers union says President Bob King is on tap to address the Democratic National Convention.

The Detroit-based union says its leader will speak Wednesday evening during the convention in Charlotte, N.C.

The UAW says 89 of its members are delegates to the convention, which opened Tuesday. About 35,000 people are attending.

Republicans held their convention last week in Tampa, Fla., and nominated Mitt Romney to oppose President Barack Obama.
