Live on the Green. Free concert series held in Public Square Park in front of the Metro Courthouse launches its fourth season today with Jon Cleary, Moon Taxi and Dr. John. The six-week concert series, produced by Tuned In Broadcasting, Inc. in partnership with the Nashville Mayor’s Office, takes place Thursdays through October 11. Windows of Identity

Art Exhibition and Reception will be held at the Gordon Jewish Community Center (GJCC). The exhibition includes the work of 13 American and 34 Israeli artists, and was first on display in Hadera, Israel, and now is traveling to the various cities. Nashville is the first stop in the United States. A Reception for the seven Nashville artists who contributed works to the exhibition will be held 7-9 p.m. Those artists are Sharon Charney, Kaaren Hirschowitz Engel, Terry Lapidus, Jerry Klein, Leslie J. Tennessee State Fair

This year’s fair, themed “Pick Tennessee State Fair,” will once again take place at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children and seniors. Information: tnstatefair.org.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 8

Great Amazing Adventure Race

Children in grades 1-12 pair up with a parent, grandparent, sibling or mentor and compete in an all-around competition that pits teams against one another in a series of fun challenges resembling the show The Amazing Race. Teams compete around a one-mile cross country course that includes up to eight challenge stations. Clue cards at each station instruct the teams to complete a task (game, relay, obstacle course, etc.) before proceeding to the next challenge station. The race begins at 2 p.m. Cost is $40 per team, with a 100-team limit. The top 25 teams qualify for the national championship race and a chance to win $2,000. Information: GreatAmazingRace.com.

Learning series designed to nurture and accelerate the growth of established, second-stage businesses by equipping CEOs and their management teams with a cohesive curriculum that covers the core areas these leaders need to know: Planning for growth, structure, systems and culture.
