Midstate 4th of July celebrations
There’s no shortage of July 4 celebrations in Middle Tennessee, from Nashville’s internationally acclaimed blowout at Riverfront Park to a full day of activities for the family in Franklin at The Park at Harlinsdale.
Nashville
Tuesday, July 3: Free concert on the Lawn at Riverfront Park, 6 p.m., featuring Ayla Brown, 10 Out of Tenn featuring Erin McCarley, k.s. Rhoads, Andy Davis, Matthew Perryman Jones, Tyler James, Gabe Dixon and Griffin House.
Wednesday, July 4: Noon-9:30 p.m. on the lawn at Riverfront Park. Family Fun Zone and live music by the Mavericks, Craig Morgan and Sarah Darling. Main stage concert by the Nashville Symphony at 7 p.m.
Smyrna
Tuesday, July 3: 5- 9:30 p.m. at the Lee Victory Recreation Park, 102 Sam Ridley Pkwy. A flyover by a Blackhawk helicopter will take place just before the fireworks show.
Murfreesboro
Wednesday, July 4: 5-9:30 p.m. at McKnight Park, 120 DeJarnette Lane. Games and activities for kids. Color guard and symphony performance at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9.
LaVergne
Wednesday, July 4: 5 p.m.-dark at Veterans Memorial Park on Floyd Mayfield Drive off of Murfreesboro Road. Free concert with music by Missy Garnett and the Six Pack Pretty. Fireworks at dusk.
Franklin
Wednesday, July 4: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. at The Park at Harlinsdale, 239 Franklin Road. Gates open at 11 a.m. Live music begins 2 p.m. Tommy Jackson’s Rocky Top Revue, 3 p.m., Bye Bye Birdie cast from Pull Tight Theatre at 4 p.m., children’s show and parade at 4:45 p.m.; hot dog-eating contest at 6 p.m. Music all evening and throughout fireworks.
Brentwood
Wednesday, July 4: 7 p.m. at Crockett Park, 1500 Volunteer Pkwy. Music by Kadillacs, followed by fireworks.
Nolensville
Wednesday, July 4: 5-9 p.m. at the Nolensville Ball Park, 2310 Nolensville Park Road. Music, food court and inflatables. Family games and pie judging begin at 6 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.
Clarksville
Tuesday, July 3: 6-10 p.m. at McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive. Tina Brown’s music throughout the evening, followed by Mike Bryant and fireworks.
White House
Saturday, June 30: 8 a.m.-9:30 p.m. at the White House City Park, 105 City Park. Independence Day 5K run at 8 a.m., Chamber Pancake Breakfast 7-9 a.m.; Lions Club Auction 9:30- noon. Vendors, games, crafts and food throughout the day. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
Hendersonville
Tuesday, July 3: 5-11 p.m. at Drakes Creek Park. Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. Vendors, activities and food booths. Fireworks at 9.
Gallatin
Wednesday, July 4: 6 p.m. to dark at Gallatin Civic Center, 210 Albert Gallatin Ave. Music by the WannaBeatles. Fireworks at dusk.
Mt. Juliet
Wednesday, July 4: 4:30-10 p.m. at Providence Marketplace, 401 South Mount Juliet Road. The fireworks will be launched from the field behind Target.
Lebanon
Wednesday, July 4: 4:30-9:30 p.m. at James E. Ward Agricultural Center, 945 East Baddour Pwky. Six stages of live music plus vendor booths, bounce houses, free watermelon and fireworks.
Pegram
Wednesday, July 4: Festivities kick off with the annual pancake breakfast at Pegram United Methodist Church. The parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by a full day of activities, games, music and food at Pegram Park. Fireworks begin at 9:30.
