Guerrilla Marketing column earns RedRover top international award
RedRover Company was among the winners of The 2012 Communicator Awards presented by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA).
The company earned the Gold Award of Excellence for Lori Turner-Wilson’s Guerrilla Sales & Marketing newspaper column, which appears in the Nashville Ledger and the Memphis Daily News. Red Rover also landed three Silver Awards of Distinction – “Marketing Effectiveness” and “PR Excellence” for Bleu Restaurant and Lounge’s launch campaign – as well as for “Marketing/Promotion Excellence” for the creative theme and invitation design for MED Night, A Soul Celebration – an annual gala held by long-time client, The MED Foundation.
The Award of Excellence, the highest honor, is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field. The award of Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. With more than 6,000 entries received from across the United States and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence of communications professionals.
Current IAVA members are representative of some of the world’s most recognized and esteemed companies including Conde Nast, Disney, MTV, Yahoo!, Sotheby’s and Monster.com.
“This is the second year we’ve been honored with International Communicator Awards,” says Lori Turner-Wilson, the firm’s CEO and Founder. It is an absolute honor to have our work validated by such a renowned panel of judges, especially considering the stiff international competition.
“At RedRover, our focus is on generating measurable results for our clients. The marketing effectiveness award speaks to that focus, as the recipients are selected based on their ability to hit targets and generate a strong return on investment, versus simply the strength of the creative. We have an amazingly talented dream team at RedRover. I couldn’t be happier to see them recognized.”
