Grand Avenue gives $85K to Transit Alliance
By Hollie Deese
Ground transportation company Grand Avenue has committed $85,000 to support the Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee’s efforts to promote mass transportation in the region.
As a public/private partnership, the Transit Alliance relies heavily on support from regional businesses for its various programs such as the IBM Intelligent Transport System Maturity Model Study, which identified the region’s immediate opportunities for transportation improvement.
Grand Avenue CEO Carl Haley says the donation is part of his company’s commitment to support sustainable transportation alternatives, particularly in light of the region’s robust growth.
Grand Avenue provides corporate, special-occasion and customized transportation, and recently moved to a new headquarters in downtown Nashville with its fleet of more than 50 vehicles, including hybrid sedans.
