NASHVILLE (AP) - Interior restoration work has been completed at The Hermitage in Nashville, the home of President Andrew Jackson.

The winter projects included plaster restoration in Jackson's library, the farm office and dining room. Workers also conserved 176-year-old wallpaper and did a general cleaning. Additionally, several rooms were repainted, including the library.

The Hermitage, built around 1820, is a 1,120-acre National Historic Landmark and has some 180,000 annual visitors. Jackson is buried on the grounds.
