Tennessee Lottery has 3rd-quarter sales record
NASHVILLE (AP) - The Tennessee Lottery set a sales record $89.9 million for the third quarter.
It exceeded the old record of $79.6 million in the third quarter of 2006.
Lottery officials credited a world record Mega Millions jackpot of $656 million on March 30 and increasingly popular instant games.
Keith Simmons, chairman of the board for the 8-year-old lottery, said the games are on track for a record year.
