Nashville Habitat, Nissan honored by EPA for energy efficiency
NASHVILLE (AP) - Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity, Nissan North America and Eastman Chemical Co. have been honored by the Environmental Protection Agency for energy efficiency.
They received 2012 Energy Star awards as part of the 20th anniversary of Energy Star, an EPA-created market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency.
Eastman was recognized for a restructured, corporate-wide energy program.
The Nashville organization was cited for promoting the use of Energy Star qualified products.
Nissan was honored for actively leveraging Energy Star tools and resources.
