WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate is set to come out with its version of legislation to help small businesses raise capital, similar to legislation that cleared the House in a somewhat different form last week.

Both parties are eager to show that Congress is capable of working together to produce legislation to boost the economy and promote job growth.

The Senate version expected to be outlined Tuesday is somewhat different from the House bill that passed by a large bipartisan majority, and it was uncertain if that would create complications.

The House measure contains six bills that relax federal regulations so small businesses can more easily attract investors. The Senate bill includes three of those six, but also has a provision to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank, which could meet resistance from House Republicans.
