Chattanooga's Double-Cola is rebranding

CHATTANOOGA (AP) — Double-Cola of Chattanooga is rebranding itself with the tagline "refreshingly smooth" as the company prepares to celebrate its 90th birthday.

It is rolling out new graphics and new packaging designed to connect with a growing market of youthful consumers, the company said in a news release Wednesday. New cans and 12-packs will hit stores in mid-March.

Double-Cola was first marketed in 1933. According to the news release, it was the first soft drink offered in 12-ounce bottles, which was double the size of other colas.
