Nissan North America wins EPA energy award
FRANKLIN (AP) - Tennessee-based Nissan North America has won the 2012 Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The honor recognizes continued leadership in protecting the environment through energy efficiency.
An Energy Star partner since 2006, Nissan has concentrated on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy management.
The Sustained Excellence Awards are given to organizations that have exhibited leadership year after year. This year's honorees will be recognized in Washington, D.C., next Thursday.
