State Legislature
Legislature getting gavel-to-gavel TV coverage
NASHVILLE (AP) - Gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Tennessee General Assembly is available statewide on public television.
AT&T is sponsoring the coverage on the "Tennessee Channel." The broadcasts include live and taped-delayed proceedings, with committee meetings, floor sessions and other joint conventions.
Such broadcasts were introduced statewide for the first time last year.
The General Assembly is responsible for feeding the broadcast to the Tennessee Channel. It will then run through the state's six public TV stations.
