Tenn hospital company getting $5 mil in fed funds

BRENTWOOD (AP) - LifePoint Hospitals of Brentwood, Tenn., is getting $5 million in federal funds to help reduce preventable injuries and complications from health care acquired conditions.

The hospital company will be part of the Partnership for Patients initiative of the Department of Health and Human Services.

LifePoint officials said they will enhance training at their 54 hospital campuses in 18 states.
